NHS Fall Project: Helping out our community by donating to the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission

Who: Did you know that the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission Organization has helped over 1,000 homeless people this year alone?

Why: We are a service organization, and this is a service we can do for our relative community. Every member is required to participate in our Fall and Spring Projects regardless of any hours you may already have accumulated up to this point. You can count this towards your service hours if you still need your 6 for the school year.

What: Through Hiway 80 Rescue Mission, we’ve learned that we can help their organization by contributing to their available resources for the less fortunate.

How: There are four different categories of items to bring. Each member should bring one, or both preferably, of the items listed with their group. These items will be sorted out and put into gallon-size bags, provided by one of the officers, and donated to the Mission. The officers will put together and bring the bags to the organization, but each member must donate to the cause.
